Construction to Begin on The ValenciaTampa Bay Metro, August/September 2004 IssueThis fall, in the prestigious Historic District of Old Hyde Park, construction will begin on The Valencia on Rome Avenue, just north of Swann. Tampa-based Gaspar Residential, a division of Gaspar Properties, Inc., will oversee the $15 million condo and townhome development. Once built, The Valencia will include a seven-story, mid-rise tower with 22 condominiums, each up to 2,128 square feet, and rooftop penthouses of up to 3,300 square feet. The project also includes five townhomes in an adjacent three-story building. |
“The Valencia is appropriate to this location because of the proximity to an abundance of open space and the fact that the site sits on the edge of a commercial district,” says project architect Chris Kirshner of BDG Architects. The location will afford residents sweeping views of the Tampa skyline and Bayshore Boulevard. The Valencia’s architecture is described as authentic, 1920’s Mediterranean Revival, featuring barrel tile roofs, private terraces, and wrought iron trim. Other amenities will include an exterior grand staircase, secure covered parking and hardwood floors. The project is expected to be completed in Fall of 2005. Penthouses are priced from $1,399,000 and the condominiums from $450,000 to $750,000. For more information, visit www.valenciahydepark.com. |
